Demeter’s Garden

Demeter’s Garden is a salt marsh formed at the confluence of the Great Divide, the Delain River, and the Caspian Sea. The location is blessed by Demeter with extraordinarily diverse plants and animals. This vigorous ecology extends to the monster wildlife as well. Many fierce beasts and plant monsters dwell in Demeter’s Garden, feasting on each other and any foolish travelers that stumble into the swamp.

The dungeon protecting the Copper Orb of Dragonkind is hidden with Demeter’s Garden. Amalgami the Hero designed an aquatic dungeon in the muck and slime beneath the surface of the vast marsh. He worked with the other Heroes of the Dragon War to incorporate elements from each of the other dungeons in the defense of his dungeon. Additionally, he protected the final chamber with a set of doors that could only be opened by a few riddles of Amalgami’s own creation.

Eathirilu made a place of refuge for himself in Demeter’s Garden during the Second Alliance War. He enchanted the plants and beasts to obey his commands and to defend a section of the swamp that would belong to him. He laid further protective wards in the swamp to prevent any who would exploit nature from reaching the center of Eathirilu’s banyan tree grove. Soon after the war’s end, Eathirilu’s time came. He transformed himself into an enormous banyan tree at the center of Demeter’s Garden. His elven mind slowed and he went to sleep, never to wake.

Flower of the Deep

The Flower of the Deep is a mithral mine originally discovered by the Dwarves of Jord. They used the metal to produce armor and to reinforce the spectacular structures in the tunnels of Jord. Unfortunately the mine was attacked by Drow about fifty years ago. The Hill Dwarves attempted to reclaim their territory, but their initial attacks were repulsed. King Dainlin was forced to accede the mine for a few decades as his attention was brought to the wars in Xoria. When the war against the wights ends, Dainlin hopes to retake the Flower of the Deep with the full might of the reunited Dwarven Kingdom.

While the dwarves were kept busy the Drow set up their own operation to harvest the mithral. The purified metal was taken deep into the Underdark to serve the purposes of Queen Medrika of the Dark Elves.

I’m Isaac

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

81 – Biopunk 2287 RPG (Seiya and Synesthesia Synthetica) Setting the Stage, Campaigns for D&D and Other RPGs

Seiya tells us about his TTRPG system and setting, Synesthesia Synthetica (SNS). SNS is a biopunk game adjacent to the cyberpunk and steampunk genres. After an asteroid induced climate disaster, Earth has rebuilt itself using bio-technology instead of the metal based tech that surrounds us in the real world. Genetically modified humans have split into distinct species and mutant horrors prowl the wastes outside civilization. The rich rule from their space stations up above but resistance is growing in the streets below.During the episode we discussed a piece of art that Seiya had made for the game. A picture of that bio-tank is available for you to look at.At the moment, Synesthesia Synthetica is available for free as an early access game on itch.io and DriveThruRPG.If you want to learn more or find a group to play with, you can do that on the Synesthesia Synthetica Discord.Remember to nominate your favorite TTRPG shows/creators/things for the 2026 CRIT Awards!Check out the Setting the Stage website!Want to be on the show?
