883BCE: As word spread the people of the land rejoiced. The dragons were sealed away, hopefully never to return. Cimmerians no longer feared elemental breath raining down on them from above. People went about their lives, happy and safer than they’d ever been.
The Heroes remained concerned that one day the Orbs would be broken and the dragons would be released. Tentineh suggested that the Heroes split the Orbs among themselves and place permanent protections around them. Some of the Heroes did not have the resources to defend an Orb of Dragonkind for eternity. Tentineh volunteered to guard those unallocated Orbs along with his own. The Heroes split up and began constructing defenses around the Orbs and rebuilding their respective societies.

882BCE: Toffoun joined the royal court of the newly crowned High King of the Dwarves, Cogard. Amalgami and Jovy went with Toffoun.
As work on the defenses for the Dragon Orbs continued, Tentineh and realized that no matter how well-constructed their protections were, they would eventually be breached. Tentineh suggested a solution. Each of the Heroes of the Dragon War would bind his or her soul to one of the Orbs. When the Orb was broken, that Hero would be returned to life, ready to fight the dragons once again. The other Heroes approved of the idea and Tentineh began designing the complicated spell that would put each of the Heroes in stasis when they were ready to “die.” In this stasis each would await the breaking of the Orb their soul protected.
Gorwinua’s wild nature made her unsuited for helping to construct the Orbs’ defenses. She began writing an epic poem that detailed the Heroes’ exploits during the Dragon War.

880BCE: Tentineh completed his work on the stasis spell to protect the Orbs of Dragonkind. Tracy entered the hibernation stasis as soon as Tentineh prepared it. She was an old woman ready for sleep. She would reawaken when the Blue Orb was destroyed. Cecilia entered hibernation with Tracy. Cecilia was bored with her retirement. Stasis was a way of skipping to the next great adventure, the breaking of the Dragon Orbs. She would reawaken when the Black Orb was destroyed.

879BCE: Amalgami left the Dwarven royal court to assist with the construction of defenses for the Dragon Orbs.
Jovy left the Dwarven royal court as he’d worn out his welcome with the nobles. He gambled and won too often. He slept around with too many nobles’ wives and daughters. He got into too many drunken fights.
Jovy returned to his ship that he’d moored on the eastern coast of the Caspian. He was surprised to find a community had sprung up around his ship, viewing it as a sacred artifact of the Dragon War. Jovy took pleasure in their adoration and resumed his title as King of the Caspian. The town that had grown around the Mira Miro was dubbed Lordodo. King Jovy ruled over his subjects, judged their legal cases, made policy, protected them, and took tribute.

878BCE: Tentineh and Bigby built a dungeon beneath the sands of the Shacklack Desert. They built many magical traps and created golem and plant creatures to guard the dungeon forever. Additionally they used magic to appear as gods before various tribes that lived in the desert. With their disguises they gave divine commands to the tribes to keep outsiders away from the area above the dungeon. This dungeon would house the Blue Orb.

877BCE: Bigby retired to the woods of his childhood. He married and had children.
Shratalanda finished building a hidden dungeon deep within the Aractrashan Jungle. She set psionic guardians and traps around the dungeon which would drive people away by trickery or by force. This dungeon would house the Brass Orb.
Danar finished a dungeon in the Underdark beneath his kingdom of Sheerzen. The dungeon had no entrances, only being reachable by passing through hundreds of feet of solid rock. He achieved this with the help of Rhinston, the earth elemental that had given Danar his bronze eye. Rhinston gave Danar a troop of earth elementals to guard the dungeon. In addition to these protectors, the draconic king enchanted many of his full-blooded dragon cousins to guard the dungeon for all time. This dungeon would house the Bronze Orb.
Tentineh himself was responsible for constructing the defenses of five Dragon Orbs. He designed a floating superstructure to house the Orbs, but this massive construct would require more magical ability than Tentineh nor any of the other Heroes possessed. Tentineh began searching in the dark places of the world for the energy required to bring his vision to life.

876BCE: Gorwinua completed her epic poem, the Dracononica. After doing a recitation tour of Cimmeria and leaving physical copies with various scribes, Gorwinua went into hibernation. She would reawaken when the White Orb was destroyed.
Shratalanda traveled to the Shacklack Desert and began building a psionically charged castle in the sand.
Danar returned to Sheerzen and resumed his duties as king. He married multiple women to solidify his position within the aristocracy of Sheerzen. He ruled well and established a just society for his people.
Tentineh found a font of energy that he could use for his superstructure. He freed the Dahak from its ancient prison beneath the Greshen Volcano. In gratitude the Dahak promised to aid Tentineh in his endeavors. The two worked in concert to create a floating city. A gigantic edifice spanning for miles built on the upturned bottom of the Dahak’s volcano and four other lava-filled mountains.

875BCE: An enormous amount of power was required to keep Tentineh’s superstructure afloat. Tentineh began manufacturing over a dozen artifacts with untold powers. Upon completion he connected them to the volcano quintet. Additionally, the Dahak bound omnielementals to the volcanoes. A minor version of the elemental planes swirled and formed between the lava tubes.

873BCE: Shratalanda completed her castle in the Shacklack Desert. She sent out a telepathic call to all the psions of Cimmeria telling them to come to her castle for training in the craft of psionic magic.

872BCE: Psions from across Cimmeria arrived at Shratalanda’s school for instruction. She taught them all the disciplines of psionic magic. The school was a success. More and more students continued to arrive.

870BCE: Shratalanda’s school grew beyond her ability to manage. To ensure the continuance of her school, Shratalanda trained her first class of students to pass on their learning to others. Over the years a heirarchy based on talent and public acclaim decided who were the teachers of the school and who were the students.

869BCE: Toffoun and Jovy coordinated with the Dwarven Kings to build a dungeon at an unknown location within the Terror Mountains. While many Dwarven nobles were involved in the dungeon’s construction, none of them ever revealed a single clue about the dungeon’s location or its defenses. All took the secret to their graves. This dungeon would house the Gold Orb.

866BCE: Amalgami designed an aquatic dungeon in the swamps of Demeter’s Garden. The entire dungeon existed in the muck and slime beneath the surface of the vast marsh. Amalgami worked with the other Heroes and incorporated elements from each of the other dungeons in the defense of his dungeon. Additionally, he protected the final chamber with a set of doors that could only be opened by a few riddles of Amalgami’s own creation. His dungeon would house the Copper Orb.

865BCE: Amalgami visited his child in Phoenix. His son was now 48 and had lived most of her life without him. The meeting between the prodigal Dragon War Hero and his progeny did not go well. Amalgami left for his hibernation without the resolution that he desired. He would reawaken when the Copper Orb was destroyed.

863BCE: Tentineh placed the artifacts he’d created within his superstructure. He used the five Dragon Orbs entrusted to him to power the structure as well. Red, Green, Black, White, and Silver would power the city, one within each of the volcanoes.

862BCE: Still more power was needed for the superstructure so Tentineh ripped the raw life from the Greshen Valley and poured it into the floating city. This greedy act created Spheres of Annihilation throughout the Valley. These black holes roamed the land, erasing everything they touched.

861BCE: Tentineh’s superstructure was completed. He bequeathed the construction to the people of Greshen Valley. It would be a new home for them. A floating city that would protect, feed, and shelter Tentineh’s people for all time. In time this city would be known as Greshendale.
The grand wizard gave the leadership of this city to a council composed of his children and his apprentices. Tentineh would not rule the city. He prepared to enter eternal slumber.
Tentineh told Captain Jovy that the time had come to retire from his life of luxury. Jovy agreed to go into hibernation in one year’s time. The pirate captain took the Mira Miro on one last pleasure cruise through Those Blast Islands.

860BCE: Jovy returned the Mira Miro to the town, Lordodo, where he had ruled the Caspian Sea for the last two decades. He joined Tentineh in hibernation to protect the Dragon Orbs, leaving behind many illegitimate children. Jovy would reawaken when the Gold Orb was destroyed. Tentineh would reawaken when the Silver Orb was destroyed.

859BCE: In Jovy’s absence Lordodo was ruled by the captains of various ships that docked there. These captains formed the Navigator’s Guild. They met in the Mira Miro and dispensed law from the beached relic.

855BCE: Danar left Sheerzen to sleep and await the breaking of the Red Orb. He left the same system of succession that guided his ascension for his progeny. There could be only one heir. All others must be sterilized or executed.

834BCE: Satisfied with her work on her school, Shratalanda retired to her slumber. She slept, only to be awakened by the breaking of the Brass Orb of Dragonkind.
