883BCE: Many of the Naturalists of Bigby’s Forest elected to take over the trading post at Semanarie. They set up a druidic enclave there that preached naturalism and separation from civilized society. Most of the buildings were knocked down and the residents slept outside, protected by the druids’ magic.
The Naturalists who did not settle in Semanarie set out to find a new location for their community. They traveled eastward along the Caspian Sea, collecting followers along the way.

882BCE: After Semanarie became a druidic commune it could no longer serve as the trade post for Bigby’s Forest. An enterprising halfling merchant, Glospiel, set up a trading post, but not on the forest’s edge as one might expect. He laid the foundations for a town on the Caspian coast. Glospiel named his city after the halfling word for sea spray, Makotako.

881BCE: Condrofalspeth, a descendant of Sadroston, gathered people to resettle Jeutontic.

880BCE: Makotako grew as the premier trade outpost between Bigby’s Forest and the rest of Cimmeria. Merchants picked up goods from the elves on the forest’s edge and then brought them to Makotako to sell to ship captains or trading caravans.
While Glospiel founded the city, his desire was wealth, not power. As more people immigrated, he deferred to the settlers on how they wished to lead themselves. Coincidentally, the citizens chose a republican system of government where one had to be wealthy in order to hold public office. Glospiel was the first elected king of Makotako.

879BCE: After years of wandering, the Naturalists settled in the Aractrashan Jungle and named their town Tetalya. They sought integration with civilization as a way for the natural world to survive against the ever-increasing pressures of mortal expansion into the wild places of the world.
Dark Elf raids threatened Jeutontic. Condrofalspeth defended the growing city-state using his magical abilities.

873BCE: Jeutontic grew beyond Condrofalspeth’s ability to defend. He organized the citizens into a fighting force that could ward off Dark Elf attacks on their own.

870BCE: The people of Jeutontic could defeat the Dark Elves in the field, but their enemies were faster within the Underdark. Condrofalspeth knew his people needed a faster method of mounting a defense. He journeyed north to the Terror Mountains and captured a number of pegasi, hippogriffs, and griffons. The caves along the walls of Gaia’s Navel proved excellent roosting zones for the transplanted aerial creatures. The aerials would be the mounts for Jeutontic’s flying cavalry force. They provided a strong defense for the city and a mobile guard for the caravans that came to Jeutontic with goods going between Cimmeria and Persia.

866BCE: Croshan hated Condrofalspeth’s new defense system. The Dark Elf leader organized a massive attack on Jeutontic to wipe the city from the face of the earth. The aerial cavalry proved effective against Drow warriors accustomed to fighting underground. Croshan’s strike failed to destroy Jeutontic, but it did claim the life of Condrofalspeth. The people of Jeutontic burned his body with honors and the rulership of Jeutontic passed to Condrofalspeth’s daughter, Queen Jasaetuparth.

772BCE: King Glospiel of Makotako died. After his death the crown passed to another wealthy merchant, Testrey, instead of Glospiel’s son. This peaceful transition of power continued for many years.

I’m Isaac

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

89 – Bunnies vs. the Borg D&D (Avery and Traumwald) Setting the Stage, Campaigns for D&D and Other RPGs

Avery presents her world of Traumwald which means Dream Forest. Traumwald was a peaceful, magical world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals of all kinds. Their peace was shattered by the attack of the Ichal, a biomechanical hive mind species similar to the Borg. The Ichal are led by the dark god Ulvakros who seeks to absorb all life into himself. The Ichal have spread across different dimensions and now they have come to Traumwald as the next stop on their mission of multiversal conquest.Traumwald has a D&D 5.0e supplement that Avery made. It's a setting and a campaign in one book. Species generation rules allow you to create any sort of animal species for your PC. There are lots of new subclasses to play and a new base class, the Ascetic. The campaign is adaptable with a dynamic faction system for tracking the events as they unfold at your table. Each campaign run in Traumwald is guaranteed to be different as the factions fluctuate and change to player actions. You can lift the faction system for your personal campaign as well! You can find Traumwald on Avery's itch.io page.Check out the Setting the Stage website!Want to be on the show?
