Royal Forest

The Royal Forest is a thin evergreen forest northwest of Nox. Despite the name, the Royal Forest is used by all the residents of Nox. Lumberjacks harvest the coniferous wood to sell in the capital. It is sold for use in constructing buildings, making furniture, or burning for warmth. In addition to the wood, the forest supports a variety of animals, but most of the larger prey have gone extinct in the forest due to over hunting.

King’s Copse

King’s Copse is a small birch and maple forest east of Nox. The forest belongs to the King of Xoria, thus hunting and wood gathering within the forest are forbidden without the permission of the king. Due to this the forest maintains a population of large animals and a dense underbrush. A community of dryads lives within the woods and enforces the king’s rule by killing trespassers.

The King’s Copse was where Queen Anajakaze was raised in secret out of Hera’s sight. The dryads brought her up and trained her to be a queen and a warrior. The forest was invaded by Queen Chrilethia of the Amazons. Anajakaze assassinated the intruding queen and took over the Amazon nation at the subsequent tournament of arms.

I’m Isaac

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

87 – Adapted Azeroth D&D (Flare and Akridon) Setting the Stage, Campaigns for D&D and Other RPGs

Flare talks with us about his campaign world, Akridon. Three continents dominate the world, Tyros for humanoid races and Dusklands for bestial races. The third continent is known as the Scourge, having being destroyed in a cataclysmic war centuries ago. The world draws a lot of inspiration from the World of Warcraft setup with duality featuring in the continents, the racial appearance, and the gods of the world. And just like in WoW, the two sides often need to team up against larger threats that appear.Flare has a Google Doc with more information about Akridon if you're interested!Vote in the CRIT Awards!
