Blendegad’s Hill

Blendegad’s Hill is the site of the battle between Blendegad and his companions, Tereman and Galandir. The pair had discovered Blendegad’s vampiric transformation. Tereman wished to slay him but Galandir convinced him they could simply imprison their old friend. They lured Blendegad to a prepared ambush spot where they used magic to seal their former battle brother beneath the hill.

Tereman and Galandir stripped their captive friend of the panoply that had transformed him into a vampire. They were unable to destroy the powerfully enchanted items. Instead, they locked them away in dungeons guarded by powerful beings. Blendegad’s Shield was kept within the same hill as Blendegad himself.

Blendegad’s Hill was eventually plundered by Terroc’s adventuring group. They recovered Blendegad’s Shield, but also released its evil owner. This action set in motion the events that led to creation of the dragovinians and the Second Alliance War with Xoria. Blendegad’s Hill remains as an abandoned tomb with defunct traps and a powerful evil aura permeating the air.

Galandir’s Tomb

Galandir was a elven member of the Gish Trio that defeated the Lich-queen of the Githyanki. During his work, Galandir discovered his friend Blendegad had turned into an evil vampire. Galandir sealed Blendegad away rather than kill his friend and set magical protections around the powerful panoply that had transformed Blendegad. The sword, armor, and shield of Blendegad were split up and placed in three heavily guarded locations. When his time came, Galandir arranged for his burial in the same site that the sword was protected.

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

83 – Call of Cthulhu's Garden (Hem and The Sprouting) Setting the Stage, Campaigns for D&D and Other RPGs

Hem tells us about their actual play campaign, The Sprouting. Within the world of The Sprouting, Earth's history diverged during the 1800s when an eldritch horror was summoned into our reality. The horror lay in wait for centuries, building up a secret army of plant monsters. In 2020, the plant monsters struck, ruining infrastructure and attacking population centers across the world. One hundred years have passed and our heroes learn that the next stage of the plant apocalypse has begun…We also discussed some of the difficulties and pleasures of actual play podcasts and how the RPG community varies internationally (Hem is in Iceland). If you want to try listening to The Sprouting its available on all major podcast platforms.
