This marks the first of a couple episodes where I got the chance to interview different people/groups nominated for one of the 2024 CRIT Awards.

Kevin tells us about his campaign and actual play podcast, Wing Women. The campaign uses the Powered by the Apocalypse Night Witches rules system developed by Jason Morningstar of Bully Pulpit Games. Night Witches is inspired by the WW2 Russian 588th Night Bomber Regiment, a group of bomber pilots made up entirely of women. The bombers earned the nickname, Night Witches, due to the sweeping sound of their planes as they dropped bombs on the Germans at night. Kevin’s game follows a fictionalized version of the Night Witches, starting with a crew just out of training and following their exploits at camp and in the sky. The game explores many themes of oppression, sexuality, and gender expression in the totalitarian and hierarchical structure of the wartime Soviet Union.

The Wing Women podcast is available on all major podcast apps. You can learn more about the Wing Women at all their links here (especially the Instagram page!): https://linktr.ee/wingwomenpod
The Night Witches game is available from Bully Pulpit Games. The print versions are out of stock at the moment, but the digital version is always in stock: https://bullypulpitgames.com/products/night-witches

I’m Isaac

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

The Fallout TV show has ended, but you can still get more Fallout in your life with TTRPGs!Kylie talked with me about her actual play campaign, Fallout: The Garden of Atom. The show follows Pete and Reed as they leave their Vault in Florida. They travel towards Orlando in search of Pete's father who left Vault 71 a few years previously. Along the way they meet the wasteland survivor, Ruthie, and the Mrs. Nurse robot, Hawke. The campaign is played using Modiphius's Fallout 2d20 system, the perfect TTRPG for the Fallout universe. You can listen to the Fallout: The Garden of Atom show on Kylie's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMlGSIdwPJnmOAps3VvZXwjJUWgo_pLAQIf you like more shows like that you can find more about them on the Dicescape website: https://www.dicescape.com/And for everything Kylie, check out her Linktree and various socials: https://linktr.ee/kriticalroseAlso if you want to try out the official Fallout 2d20 system made by Modiphius, check it out on their website: https://modiphius.net/en-us/pages/fallout-the-roleplaying-gameOur website: https://gocorral.com/stsWant to be on the show?
