The Whitewood Forest lies in the southwest of Cimmeria. While many coniferous trees grow within the forest, the main variety are deciduous white birch trees. The white birch bark peels off in thin layers that provide writing material for the people of Xoria. The verdant ecosystem supports a number of berry bushes and small animals such as squirrels, rabbits, porcupines, and birds. Deer reside in the forest as well as a variety of magical creatures.

Whitewood Forest was once home to King Croshan and his elven kingdom, but the majority of them fled into the Underdark to become dark elves at the start of the draconic occupation. The elves that remained still refused to bow to the dragons. They went deep into hiding for the century of dragon tyranny. During the occupation Whitewood Elves maintained little of their original refined culture, becoming more like the beasts of the forest to survive. Today they are more willing to interact with outsiders than other elves, but have lost the renowned craftsmen reputation present in other elven communities. Whitewood Elves collect the bounty of the forest to trade for textiles and metal objects.

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.
