Cleric Subclass: Love Domain

The Love Domain cultivates the powers of attraction and affection. Clerics of love can be comforting parental figures or seductive heartbreakers depending on their temperament.

The two major gods of love in the Olympian Pantheon are Aphrodite and Hera. Aphrodite is the goddess of lust and sex. She uses her body and charm to achieve her goals. Hera is the goddess of marriage and family. While Zeus is away, she responsibly manages the household of Olympus and by extension the whole world. Both Aphrodite and Hera oversee love but in very different forms.

All-Encompassing Beauty
Level 3:
Your appearance captivates people, even during the heat of combat. As a Magic action, expend a use of your Channel Divinity to reveal the awesome beauty of your goddess. Each creature that can see you within 30 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have the Charmed condition until the end of your next turn.

Love Domain Spells
Level 3: Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready. When you reach a Cleric level specified in the Love Domain Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Cleric LevelSpells
3Charm Person, Enthrall, Prayer of Healing, Protection from Evil and Good
5Beacon of Hope, Fawning Affection (New Spell!)
7Charm Monster, Compulsion
9Dominate Person, Mass Cure Wounds

Lover’s Touch
Level 3: Your powers of attraction are strong in close quarters. If you touch a creature continuously for 1 minute, you can cause them to fall in love with you. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have the Charmed condition for 24 hours. The Charmed creature is Friendly to you, but may not stay that way after the effect ends. On a success, a creature is immune to this ability for 10 days and has Advantage on its next save against it.
Additionally, you gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion.

Enchanting Promises
Level 6:
Your allure grows ever stronger. Creatures that are Charmed by you grant Advantage on attacks made by you and have Disadvantage on saving throws against your spells and abilities. Additionally, when you restore Hit Points to a creature Charmed by you, it also gains a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.

Stunning Beauty
Level 17: Your beauty has begun to rival that of the gods themselves, but don’t let them hear you say that! When you use your All-Encompassing Beauty feature you may choose one creature within the range. If that creature fails its save, it is also Stunned until the end of your next turn.

New Spell

Fawning Affection – Level 3 Enchantment (Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock)

Fawning Affection
Level 3 Enchantment (Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock)

Casting Time: Action
Range: 45 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You enchant a creature to have an irresistible pull on mortals. Target a creature you can see within range. Each Humanoid creature within 30 get of that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become Charmed by the target for the duration. Each creature does so with Advantage if the target or the target’s allies are fighting it. The Charmed condition ends on an affected creature if the target or the target’s allies damage it. Each Charmed creature must use as much of its movement as possible to move towards the target, taking the safest route. After moving in this way, a Charmed creature repeats the save, ending the spell on itself on a success.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. If you cast this spell using a level 4+ spell slot, it affects additional creature types besides Humanoids. These types include Beasts (level 4+ slot), Fey (level 5+ slot), Giants (level 5+ slot), Celestials (level 6+ slot), and Fiends (level 6+ slot).
