Gouging Smite

Gouging Smite
Level 3 Necromancy (Paladin)

Casting Time: Bonus Action, which you take immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike
Range: Self
Components: V
Duration: Instantaneous

As you hit the target, it takes an extra 2d6 damage from the attack. The extra damage’s type is the same as the weapon’s type. Additionally, the target receives a horrific bleeding wound. While wounded, the target has the Poisoned condition and takes 2d6 Poison damage at the start of each of its turns. The wound closes after 1 minute, after a spell restores Hit Points to the target, or after the target or a creature within 5 feet of it takes an action to stanch the wound, doing so by succeeding on a Wisdom (Medicine) check against your spellcasting DC.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The initial damage increases by 2d6 for each spell slot level above 3.
