Barejando

Barejando was the main mind in charge of Xoria’s military during the Second Alliance War. He had a keen tactical mind and was a exemplary physical soldier as well. He served King Jevaninada II loyally, providing advice and aid whenever it was needed. Barejando fought alongside the King until the end of the Second Alliance War.

Barejando was born during the reign of King Jevaninada I. He was the third son of his family and of common stock. The military provided an escape from poverty and from his abusive parents. He joined the Xorian army and served in the brigade units under Queen Anajakaze. He followed orders loyally and reported dissent quickly to his superiors. He seemed to be a man with no concern for his own position within the Amazon gynocracy. His only principle was loyalty to the crown.

Barejando’s principles stayed consistent after King Jevaninada II’s rise to power. It didn’t matter that the new King had killed his mother and made a pact with an evil undead dragon. The only salient fact was that Jevaninada was the Xorian King and Barejando’s oaths were to the crown. Barejando continued his service in the brigade forces. His admirable loyalty and intelligence earned him promotion after promotion until he was noticed by Jevaninada. The King personally granted Barejando dragovinian status and made the soldier commander of the entire Xorian infantry.

Barejando continued his service as general during the Second Alliance War while occasionally joining Jevaninada on excursions to counter the activities of the Alliance War Council. Barejando succeeded in these excursions as often as he failed, but it became clear that he was the weakest member of the Xorian team. Barejando resigned himself to a position of support for the King. He stayed by his liege’s side through the final battle. Barejando died protecting his king moments before Jevaninada passed as well.

I’m Isaac

Welcome to the GoCorral website! I’m Isaac Shaker and this is a place for me to write about D&D and occasionally other topics. I host a podcast called Setting the Stage that interviews different DMs about their campaigns. I’m currently focused on completing the Cimmeria campaign setting and turning it into a book.

83 – Call of Cthulhu's Garden (Hem and The Sprouting) Setting the Stage, Campaigns for D&D and Other RPGs

Hem tells us about their actual play campaign, The Sprouting. Within the world of The Sprouting, Earth's history diverged during the 1800s when an eldritch horror was summoned into our reality. The horror lay in wait for centuries, building up a secret army of plant monsters. In 2020, the plant monsters struck, ruining infrastructure and attacking population centers across the world. One hundred years have passed and our heroes learn that the next stage of the plant apocalypse has begun…We also discussed some of the difficulties and pleasures of actual play podcasts and how the RPG community varies internationally (Hem is in Iceland). If you want to try listening to The Sprouting its available on all major podcast platforms.
