This session was quite short. It took place at Ave’s house. It was physically attended by myself, Trajan, and Ave. It was attended through Google Hangouts by Will and Ben. Jamie was going to come later, but because the session was so short, he did not. Ben played Stanton, Jamie’s character, instead of making his own.

Caravan Ambush

The little Rebel band planned how they would ambush the caravan when it arrived. They didn’t know how many wagons were coming and jokes were tossed around that the caravan might actually be coming by boat instead of by the road one hundred feet from the river. It was eventually decided that the players would place a rock in the road that would block the wagon ruts. The two halflings, Sivirdm and Stanton would hide in the bushes. Wu would hide down by the river with his bow. Gregor would hide in a camouflaged ditch close to the road.

(Ben unfortunately left at this point due to another engagement)

The caravan workers did not spot the hidden highwaymen when it showed up. There were two wagons, each with a driver and two guards. The guards hopped out of the wagons when they saw the rock in the road. Two of them went to move the rock, while two others kept guard around the caravan. The players unleashed hell when the two guards got to the rock. Sivirdm charged forward and color sprayed the two guards there. One of them collapsed as his mind was overwhelmed by colors. The battle was on!

Sivirdm jumped on the down guard and slit the man’s throat. Gregor went to help Sivirdm against the other guard. One of the guards tried his best to calm down the horses. The drivers pulled out crossbows. Stanton cast some sleep magic that cause another guard to collapse and take a nap. Wu was shooting arrows into the fray from the river.

The party of robbers won. Three of the guards were dead and one was unconscious. The drivers threw down their crossbows and surrendered. Sivirdm had suffered a crossbow wound, but otherwise the group emerged uninjured.

Elerie remained unconscious nearby. Sivirdm suggested giving the caravan drivers a sword and ordering them to kill Elerie in return for their freedom. After all, just as they were the drivers’ captors, Elerie and the Rebellion were their captors. The ominous idea hung in the air.
