Davonisi was a powerful unseelie faerie who played a leading role in the Dragon War. She organized the fey and elves of the Dry Woods to fight for the green dragons. In the end she was defeated by the Heroes of the Dragon War. Davonisi went into seclusion until the dragovinians sought her out during the Second Alliance War. She returned as a second plague upon mortals but was slain by the Exiles before her evil had a chance to drastically impact the world.
Davonisi came into being in the shadows of the Dry Woods. She was there before the Olympians arrived, playing tricks and pranks on the goblins and other faeries. Davonisi was one of the eldest fey and over her millennia of existence she had gathered immense power in herself. The other unseelie faeries recognized this power and declared Davonisi their leader. She valued natural order above all things, so when the dragons established their dominion over Cimmeria, she gave no opposition. Dragons are the strongest creatures, so it was only right that they rule over all others.
When the Dragon War started, Davonisi stayed on the sidelines until Eathirilu asked for her assistance. Davonisi answered Eathirilu’s call along with the other unseelie fey. She joined his march through the countryside towards Phoenix. Davonisi’s fey scouted ahead and committed unspeakable atrocities against every mortal they encountered on the way. None were left alive to bring word of the army’s approach to Phoenix. Eathirilu was unsettled by Davonisi’s actions and began to wonder which side was truly just in the Dragon War.
The Bronze Chords were an adventuring group that formed during the draconic domination of Cimmeria. Brelfagar the dwarven fighter, Shoree the human paladin, Sunrise the elven wizard, and Jeffery the human cleric of the Muses worked together to keep the people of Apollo’s Plains safe in service of their bronze dragon hegemons, Rilopenaril and Langudina. The heroes’ work cleared the way for the foundation of Sheerzen on Apollo’s Hill. After the city’s founding, the dragons’ will took a darker turn. Rilopenaril and Langudina mated with the Bronze Chords and the mortals’ previous children to produce half-dragon offspring. After the deaths of the Bronze Chords, their half-dragon children were forced to fight each other by Langudina to decide the next royal pair of Sheerzen. The adventurers’ legacy was forever scarred by rape, fratricide, and incest.
After the formation of the Bronze Chords group the history of the group’s members is much the same. They were all united by a threat of white dragon-ogre crossbreeds. The Bronze Chords came together to save their communities from the ogres, but before the group’s foundation they each had their separate upbringings and experiences.
Brelfagar was born after the fall of the Conclave and before the rise of the dragons. He lived a simple life as a dwarven warrior in Jord until he fell in love with a traveling dwarf merchant, Tontia. They married and started a family away from civilized life in Apollo’s Plains. When their farming community was threatened by ogres, Brelfagar took up arms with the other Bronze Chords to defend their homes.
Shoree came into adulthood as the dragons established their dominion over Cimmeria. After the outlawing of armies, Shoree knew the only path for a safe life was through individual action. She pledged herself to Apollo’s service the next day. Shoree spent years training in the temple to heal the sick and to protect the weak. When ogres invaded Apollo’s Plains, she was more prepared than anyone else to meet the challenge.
Sunrise was one of the first elves born during the dawn of the Olympians’ conquest of Cimmeria. Her parents were created elves who fought in the Goblin War. She reached adulthood just as the Age of Monsters began. Sunrise was always a fountain of optimism. Wanting to create a better world, she threw herself into arcane study to develop her magical powers. Sunrise wanted to fight back against the tide of monsters and reclaim Cimmeria for the races of the Conclave. She took to the road to serve the people of Apollo’s Plains wherever she was needed most. When the ogres came, she was on the scene first to organize resistance.
Jeffery was a traveling storyteller living on Apollo’s Plains. He journeyed between the scattered villages to share news, swap goods, and tell stories of when the Olympians ruled in Greece instead of Cimmeria. While traveling troubadours often have a lascivious reputation, Jeffery’s behavior was always above reproach. His devotion to stories and art alone earned him a mystical connection to the Muses. The powers given to Jeffery by the goddesses truly awakened when the ogres invaded. He stepped forward to defend his homeland along with the other Bronze Chords.
Croshan was one of the elven kings created by the Olympians when they moved to Cimmeria. He led his people to victory during the Goblin War and into the Whitewood Forest when the Conclave dissolved. Rather than face the dragons, King Croshan took his elves into the Underdark to become Dark Elves. From the Underdark Croshan led raids on the surface world for centuries. His death passed with little fanfare on the surface, but sent ripples across the Underdark as Drow culture drastically restructured itself into a religious matriarchy.
Croshan was not born a king, he was created. The Olympians sculpted him to be one of the perfect kings of the elves. He provided clever strategies for his people during the Conclave’s war with the goblins. After the dwarves left the Conclave, Croshan and the other elven leaders followed them. King Croshan took his subjects to the Whitewood Forest to live in peace.
The Whitewood Elves traded peacefully with the humans of Jeutontic for many years. The peace was shattered when the dragons established their hegemony over Cimmeria. To escape domination, Croshan and his people enacted a powerful ritual. Their skin turned jet black as their whole nation was magically altered to survive in the Underdark. As the dragons took over, Croshan and the new Dark Elves went under.
Croshan’s time in the Underdark quickly eroded his sympathy for the surface dwellers. During the draconian occupation, Croshan led raids on settlements for supplies, not caring which side of the Dragon War they supported. The raids continued after the war ended. Jeutontic was the main target due to its proximity to the Dark Elf home base underneath Whitewood Forest.
