973BCE: Shivara and Tikanile coronated one of Sadroston’s weakest children, Tachydorn, as King of Nox. The stronger of Sadroston’s remaining descendants were taken back to the white dragons’ lair at Doom Peak. The white dragons changed their forms and mated with their captives to produce human-dragon crossbreeds. They were raised by Shivara and Tikanile. Their draconic parents taught them magic, combat, and an icy hatred for their human ancestry.

950BCE: The white dragon children of Shivara and Tikanile were sent back to Nox to act as viceroys for the draconic couple.

876BCE: The leader of the hobgoblins, Kruk-Sho-Kar, invaded Eastern Cimmeria. He and his army destroyed the settlements around the Aral Sea. Toffoun, Amalgami, and Jovy responded, but the scattered people of the region were unable to form an effective army.

875BCE: Jovy brought in reinforcements from Those Blasted Islands. Toffoun negotiated a deal for supplies, weapons, and armor from Queen Shortrastor of the Dominarie Mountains. Amalgami avoided open battle while training and drilling the soldiers around the Aral Sea.

874BCE: The tide of the war between the Aral Sea people and the hobgoblins turned. The unified resistance of Toffoun, Amalgami, and Jovy’s efforts deflected the hobgoblin advance. Kruk-Sho-Kar’s progress stalled. His leadership came into question within the hobgoblin command structure and Kruk-Sho-Kar was forced to retreat to secure his position.

873BCE: Knowing that the hobgoblins could return at any time, Toffoun and Amalgami organized their people into a city-state at the Dirt Plateau. They named the city, Jipangu. With the hobgoblin threat passed, Toffoun and Amalgami left to continue their work with Tentineh to secure the Dragon Orbs.

Satronwook
After the Dragon War a few humans, elves, and halflings settled within the Aractrash Jungle. One group founded a small village named Satronwook on one of the upriver intersections of the Aractrash River. As trappers and traders moved through the village they stayed at the Inn of Lost Souls. The establishment was right on the village square, an optimal location for all those who wished to do business in town.
One day Dionysus got it in his head to go on a tour of Cimmeria to witness the food, drink, and culture of the Olympians new playground. Of course Dionysus brought his entourage, maenads, and Pan. They started in the West and proceeded clockwise around the Caspian Sea in a meandering path. Along the way the members of their troop shifted and changed. When they neared the end they had acquired a pack of magical blink dogs. The final stop on their tour was Satronwook.
When Dinoysus arrived in Satronwook he struck his thyrsus into the ground of the village square. The staff grew and grew into the alcohol fountain that makes Satronwook famous today. The pair stayed for a month in the Inn of Lost Souls, partying in their characteristic destructive way. At the end of their visit every citizen of Satronwook was either dead, cursed, or enriched by some blessing of the gods.
At dawn on their final day Dinonysus and Pan snickered and announced they were leaving. They had one more gift to bestow upon the winner of a final drinking contest. At the conclusion of this contest, the halfling woman, Baradera, was declared the victor. Dionysus crowned her with a band of solid gold. As he placed the crown on her head she transformed into the shape of the local bears, a panda. Baradera retained her intelligence and her powers of speech. In fact, the crown enhanced greatly enhanced her thoughts, turning her into a genius.
Pan revealed his gift next. The Crown of the Panda conferred great intellect and gave the wearer the power to introduce or remove one new law into Satronwook’s currently blank legal code. These laws would be enforced by the blink dogs which would be staying behind in Satronwook. The drinking contest would be repeated every year to decide the next year’s leader. Each new person to don the crown would add or take away a law to be enforced by the blink dogs. This annual contest would be named after the first winner, Baradera.
Dionysus, Pan, and a few maenads left Satronwook, laughing as they went. Baradera discovered why a year later when her reign as the Panda ended. She had expected the transfer of power to return her to her halfling form, but instead she remained a panda, albeit one with a golden ring of fur around her head. A final joke played by the gods upon the people of Satronwook.
The wonder of the alcohol fountain and the Panda leaders attracted people to Satronwook. Soon it became a thriving trading town. The legal framework took a few years to adapt as many basic laws could only be added a year at a time. The blink dogs enforced only the official laws, but the citizens themselves enforced common sense morality through mob justice until the legal code caught up.
The alcohol fountain caused Satronwook’s particular character of drunken partying to persist, turning the city into the wild party capital that it is today.

Dalleer
Shaelin left Dalleer in the hands of his trusted friend, Bjorn, when he left to reclaim Fangaroot. Bjorn guided the city through the Dragon War and through the Dwarven Civil War. They emerged as a city-state that nominally owed their fealty to King Yentbern in Jord.
Bjorn ruled through a golden age for Dalleer as the metropolis grew and welcomed people of all races. Eventually Bjorn died as one of the most loved rulers in all Cimmeria. The lordship did not pass to his son. Instead , Bjorn willed his position to a wise human friend of his, Ballath. Ballath took the position gladly. Outraged, Bjorn’s living family moved to Jord. Many dwarves followed suit, not wishing to live under the rulership of a human. Ballath wished to keep a hold on the city’s past, so he took the name of Bjorn as a title in a failed attempt to keep the peace. He lead the city well, but it was not what it once was.
When it came time to choose a successor, Ballath also passed over his own children. While they were well trained and ready for leadership, Ballath wanted to follow in the footsteps of Shaelin and Bjorn. When Ballath passed, the scepter of Dalleer went to a philosopher and friend of Ballath’s named Skizofren. This man took up the title of Bjorn.
Skizofren seemed like a wise and just choice during Ballath’s life, but after his friend’s death he began drinking heavily. Some claimed that it was no longer blood that flowed through his veins, but red wine. Skizofren made foolish and insane laws while drunk and he was always drunk. Ballath’s family followed the path of the original Bjorn’s and quit Dalleer. They went downriver and formed a new settlement named Bradel Fields.
Many expected Dalleer to collapse under Skizofren’s rule, but the man proved them wrong. The populace plotted a revolt. Skizofren befriended key members of the revolution during his drunken escapades and stopped the revolt before it began. The actions of a reckless mage opened Dalleer up to interdimensional attack. Skizofren drunkenly led his people through the portal to find a means to close it. An army from the new city of Bradel Fields threatened Daller. Skizofren led the citizens in building catapults and trenches that warded off the attack. He organized crop planting and seemed to miraculously predict which crop’s would survive and where they would thrive. Skizofren’s tenure as the Bjorn seemed blessed by the gods despite his constant drunken state.
Skizofren ruled for close to one hundred years. When his time came he named a unknown young man as his successor. The people honored Skizofren’s request and made the young man the Bjorn. This Bjorn became stark mad when he took the throne. He blundered through problems for Dalleer, but never with the same style and flair as Skizofren. The people of Dalleer were too attached to the ways of Skizofren to remove the man from office. Instead they largely removed power from the Bjorn and gave his advisors discretion in how they led the city. The position of Bjorn became largely ceremonial.
The tradition of each Bjorn naming their successor remained. Every Bjorn since Skizofren has named an insane male human as his successor. The Bjorn is now a figurehead for an unstructured oligarchy that rules Dalleer from behind their puppet.
